These paintings were done by children in my Saturday and After School classes over the period of six weeks in the Winter of 2013. During this time in the studio there was a focused study of color, careful mixing of paints and an organized process of painting in layers. The gallery is called Action / Emphasis because after the initial action of painting. There is always another layer in contrast, to emphasize and clarify the image. In this way I hoped to help my young artists organize their thinking.
This group of paintings was mounted and shown in the Fine Line Bistro restaraunt in 2013.
