Visual-Think-Tank

Visual Think Tank

Visual Think Tank | Fall 2010

Drawings are intuitive, tapping into what we know innately, a shift away from a linear construct, or the blind man’s understanding of the elephant, to a much-needed broader perspective.  Visual Think Tank is a weekly drawing session with a focus on our fragile ecology.

We will start locally,  with issues of hydrofracking and water following where our images and discussion lead us.  Our personal representations will contribute to this larger national discussion.

I am looking for a core group to bring their unique understanding of the dilemmas we face as energy-users to the studio table.  This eight-week workshop will end in a public show and benefit event opening on December 3rd.

Participants do not need to have previous art experience, although this is good opportunity to put your drawing skills to use, if you have them, or to get your chops together if you are just beginning.

Stiller Zusman will facilitate and teach in these sessions. She has focused on environmental issues in her own work,  Industry, and has a long history in fine arts and art therapy, of making things happen in groups.

Cost:
By donation

In class, materials will be provided.
Participants also need to have a sketchbook to work on during the week
